PSK-standardeja laaditaan standardisointityöryhmissä. Työryhmiä perustetaan uusien standardisointikohteisiin, standardien päivityksiin, korjauksiin ja kumoamisiin.
Työryhmien jäsenet ovat avainroolissa standardein laadinnassa tuottaen asiantuntemuksellaan standardien lausuntoehdotukset, käsitellen lausunnot, arvioiden päivitystarpeita sekä ideoiden uusia standardisointikohteita.
