mechanical seals in industry for rotating equipment
and gives instructions for the selection. The standard takes a position to the seal’s
mechanical construction, but not to its chemical
resistance. Gas lubricated seals have been excluded from this
standards. -

This standard contains the form which can be used
when purchasing sealing liquid systems or
components for the systems, and provides instructions for the use of the form.
