Standards prepared by work group
-
PSK 8404 - Supplier assessment. Questionnaire
This standard shall be used to assess and followup the quality performance of suppliers working both inside and outside the purchaser’s production area. The standard does not address their acceptance or rejection. The standard makes it possible to identify the areas, where the assessed companies need to improve. The standard can also be used to compare suppliers within the same branch with each other.
-
PSK 8501 - Power plant water chemistry. Sampling system. Design and procurement
This standard provides instructions for the design and procurement of a sampling system for power plant water chemistry. The standard also contains a procurement form providing guidance for the selection of well proven solutions.
-
PSK 8502 - Power plant water chemistry. Location of process connections
This standard provides instructions for locating sampling connections for the water/steam cycle in a power plant process. The standard does not provide instructions for the actual installation work.
-
PSK 8503 - Power plant water chemistry. Requirements of plant’s operational mode
This standard provides the design basis for the procurement of a new boiler plant and improvement of the overall water chemistry management during plant operation. The standard serves as a check-list for the operational requirements of different boiler plants. The standard presents an example of the implementation of the water chemistry which enables the economical and safe use of the plant. The standard does not handle the intended use of the plant as it focuses on the perspective of the boiler plant water chemistry. Special requirements on the steam or hot water quality in certain industrial fields such as the food industry are not observed.
-
PSK 8504 - Power plant water chemistry. Troubleshooting
This standard provides instructions for interpretation of causal connections in situations when deviations in operation occur in the field of water chemistry.
The standard describes the typical deviations, that appear in power plant measurements and operation that are related to water chemistry.
The standard is focused on power plant processes using demineralized make-up water.
The standard is suitable for different power plant processes: boiler types, demineralized water production methods, the scope of the process for example including turbine, condensate treatment.
The standard is created for all personnel who are responsible for or participate in the management of water chemistry.
The standard does not consider the operational decisions in the power plant.
