PSK 2702 - Procurement and Painting of Hot Dip Galvanized Steel Constructions. Recommendation for Use in the Process Industry

Price: 245 €, free to members

The purpose of this standard is to facilitate and harmonize the selection and procurement of hot dip galvanized structures. The standard gives instructions for the selection of correct preparation methods as well as for the selection of protective paint systems if the hot dip galvanized coating is to be painted. The standard deals with the surface treatment of both new and formerly hot dip galvanized structures as well as surface treatment of painted hot dip galvanized structures according to atmospheric corrosivity categories in the various applications of the process industry. The standard deals with hot-rolled and cold-rolled
steel structures including ancillary components that are hot dip galvanized by immersing the pieces of the structure into molten zinc. Further, the standard deals with the painting of steel
sheet galvanized by means of a continuous hotimmersion method outside the manufacturing plant,
but it does not cover hot dip galvanizing of steel sheet. In this standard, any reference to zinc-coating or
galvanizing always refers to hot dip galvanizing.
